We welcome teams from around the area who are getting their all-star teams ready for official PONY tournament play. The competition is excellent and you’ll get a chance to see many teams & players you will no doubt see again in official PONY tournament play.

TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS

NO MANAGERS MEETING PRIOR
TO START OF TOURNAMENT

There will be no Manager's meeting and no advanced check in. Many teams are participating in other tournaments prior to ours, and most of them require the same verification documents as we do.

Managers should arrive 1.5 hours before their first tournament game, to check their team in. Managers must bring the following items: Completed team roster and Team Book (which includes each player’s birth certificate, medical release, and current utility bill). Teams without this information will not be allowed to participate in the tournament

BASIC TOURNAMENT
GUIDELINES

Tournament Format: This tournament is intended for league All-star caliber teams looking for tournament experience prior to official PONY all-star tournament play. All divisions are guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games plus playoffs.

Home Team: Determined by coin toss before each game.

Dates of Play: Play begins on Saturday, June 14, and ends on Monday, June 23th. Schedule subject to change based on participation level.

Rules: The games will be governed by the Official Rules of Baseball (Sporting News edition), as modified by PONY official tournament rules. There will be some further modifications, to be determined.

Location: Games will be played at East Long Beach Pony Baseball fields at Heartwell Park in Long Beach, CA. (Corner of Carson Blvd. and Woodruff Ave.)

Tournament Entry Fees:

Age Divisions	Games Guaranteed / Tourney Entry Fee
PINTO (8U)	3 Games $400 + 1 dozen balls
MUSTANG (10U)	3 Games $400 + 1 dozen balls
BRONCO (12U)	3 Games $400 + 1 dozen balls

Entry Deadline:
Your entry form, with payment, must be received by Thursday June 4, 2008

Team Requirements:

- A team must have no less than 12 and no more than 15 players registered. Rosters are not permitted to change once it has been accepted by the Tournament Director. All players must have played within the same sponsored 2007 league. (Pony, Little League or Independent Leagues)

- Proof of Insurance (e.g., a copy of your league’s insurance policy declarations page).

- Proof of age for each player

- Team roster (plus one copy to be turned in 1.5 hours prior to your first game)

- The team will not be permitted to play if the required information has not been submitted to the tournament Director. You must also keep a team book and pitching log with you throughout the tournament should any questions arise.

Awards: EACH Player will receive an individual award for first & second place teams.
